Cannot open existing job or create new job in 10.7.7

User stated “I’m not able to open an existing job or create a new job from my Bid Grid in Version 10.7.7, and my New and Open tool bar buttons are grayed out”.

Training and Support Specialist witnesses the following upon establishing a remote session with user.

New and Open buttons were in fact greyed out and disabled.

(No Database) was being displayed in the lower right hand corner where the selected database name is displayed.

Training and Support Specialist instructed user to click on the Database drop down menu and select Open Estimating Database…

The user selected their estimating database and clicked Open

Once the estimating database had been opened, the name was displayed in the lower right hand corner

and the New and Open tool bar buttons were now active, user was instructed to have a nice day.
