Problem

HASP error – “Application not communicating with LLS Service (Firewall is preventing this from communicating)”

Network Edition of EDGE Issue’s

1. HASP error – “Application not communicating with LLS Service (Firewall is preventing this from communicating)”
a. This is caused from a Firewall being initialized on the SQL server device, not allowing remote connections from USB ports and USB drivers (i.e. the hasp driver).
b. They do not have enough licenses to run the EDGE thru a SQL/Citrix server.

In all cases this is the Client’s problem and has to be taken up with their IT department. This error generally happens upon trying to open a networked database.

Resolution:

Remove all security settings in their firewalls. Then allow the ports using the hasp device and the software specific to The EDGE on his machine to remotely communicate with the servers needed
